I entered the art world and painting, specifically, later in life. My history includes many years as an active observer of the visual arts. I do have early memories of visiting the great Art Institute of Chicago on many occasions and being drawn to the 19th and 20th Century Masters which that museum offered. I minored in Western European Art History at UCSD and have spent time abroad enjoying the many great art museums both in Eastern and Western Europe. I think all these collective experiences lead me to my current foray into creating my own artwork. Finally, I can further speculate that perhaps my “design” DNA was influenced by my Grandfather; who was a noted Chicago architect in the early 20th Century.

I describe my painting style as : Figurative Fusion ® My paintings are largely representational but also infused or blended with different painting styles.
